Hard to believe - especially for the older fans in the room - that the final episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation 'All Good Things' aired 25 years ago today. The 25th and 26th episodes of the final season, not only did it wrap up  magnificent seven seasons of the show but it also teed up a quartet of big screen adventures, while informing spin off shows Star Trek Voyager and the already in progress Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

The episode would win the 1995 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, and helped the show earn a 1994 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series, but beyond that it became a fan favourite and was the perfect send-off for the much-loved show. Happy 25th All Good Things, and as we prepare for the TV return of Jean-Luc in Star Trek: Picard, the sky is indeed the limit.
